EstatesBase and the systems you run

The partnership's advice delivers its full value on whatever system your organisation already runs. You may have a compliance system you are happy with and a contract with years left on it, or spreadsheets and folders that work well enough. You can keep what you have, move to something different, or use ours, whichever suits you. The advice never depends on a platform sale, and nothing in an engagement is written to steer you toward one. Where an engagement touches systems at all, the recommendation is proportionate to your scale and maturity, and the right system is the one that fits your organisation.

Two parts of one solution

EstatesBase and the partnership are two parts of one solution, and each is complete on its own. The partnership advises on governance, capability and how the organisation runs its estate, and delivers the services on the Services and Support page. EstatesBase is where an estate is recorded, managed and its evidence held.

Where the fit is right, the two are better together. The advice and the platform are built on the same understanding of what the DfE framework requires, so an improvement plan can be stood up in the system that will evidence it, and the annual estates review can read from the estate's own data rather than from a folder assembled for the meeting. That is an upside we offer to the organisations it suits. It is offered where it fits, and the rest of the relationship does not depend on it.

Common ownership, said plainly

EstatesBase and the partnership are under common ownership, and we say so plainly. EstatesBase is the platform behind the partnership, built by the same people. It sells directly in its own right to organisations that never engage the partnership, and it is not a member practice. When you engage the partnership, you are engaging practitioners whose advice stands on its own. When you procure EstatesBase, you are procuring a platform on its own terms.

Why we built it, and where to read about it

We built EstatesBase because the partnership's work rests on one thing: a source-referenced register of every evidenceable requirement in the DfE framework, maintained as the published guidance grows. EstatesBase is built around the four foundation documents of that framework, and the partnership maintains its work against the full canon of published DfE guidance as that canon grows. That shared foundation is why the two fit together where an organisation wants them to.

What the platform does, how it is priced and how it is implemented is told on its own site, in its own voice.
